Alpataco Chardonnay (V)     £14.70    Special Offer £13.70   

This lightly oaked Chardonnay is a golden yellow in colour with hints of green. Strong citrus aroma on the nose which also comes through on the palate with notes tropical and stoe fruits and a flinty streak. This is a cracker of a wine, not dissimilar to a quality French Burgundy but with a bit more upfront fruit. Delicious! (13.5%)

This Riesling is rich but delicately floral on the nose with a bouquet of green apple, orange blossom, and jasmine; while the citrus-driven palate expresses zesty flavours of grapefruit and lime. The combination of the Shiraz grape blended with the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal gives this wine blackcurrant and plum fruit flavours together with a tantalising hint of spice and soft yet integrated tannins. (13.5%)

The story of a most particular wombat...Orphaned, beaten up by his wild wombat mates, taken in by Ballarat Wildlife Park, wheelbarrowed around (for weight reasons), adored the world over. Bright, plush, deeply tasty Merlot from Riverland vineyards, this is abundant in freshly picked red fruit with a soft tannic profile and a long, moreish finish. (13.5%)

Warm, soft and lusciously lush this is smooth black and sultry with a salty finish. Another black aromatic Malbec with succulent and spicy characters. Darkly appealing, chocolatey with an abundance of crisp, minerally fruit and Morello cherry compote. (14%)


Sixty Clicks Shiraz Mataro (V+)   £10.55

A really expressive, bright, contemporary Aussie red. The nose of soft, open, chocolatey fruit has a clove note with a palate of fresh brambly, cherry-red fruit that leads to a gently spicy finish. (14%)


The Good Luck Club Cabernet Sauvignon, Barossa Valley      £ 15.99   

There is an abundance of blackberry and cassis fruit with a naughtiness of creamy oak that marries on the palate for a bold pastiche of old vine Barossa Cabernet. It's abig glass of juicy theatre. It's lovely with steak tartare and seared tuna, rich meat casseroles and a chunk of crunchy hard cheese. (14.5%)

Delicate aromas of pear, kiwi, apricot and white spice. On the palate stone fruit flavours and white pepper lead on to a gently textured, mineral and citrus finish. Really very versatile, it will pair well with many dishes from Moroccan tagines to lighter south east Asian dishes. (12%)

Pacific Sound Sauvignon Blanc (V+)     £9.65

The wine is sourced from grapes equally shaped by the Pacific Ocean that grow in the Aconcagua region’s coastal Leyda Valley, grapes that achieve a pungency and aromatic profile redolent of New Zealand’s Marlborough region on the other side of the Pacific Rim. Bright, aromatic and crisply textural. Simple fish cooked over coals with lemon or a goat’s cheese salad.(13%)

Vina Pelequen Cabernet Sauvignon (V+)     £8.55   

A red wine the colour of garnets, entirely typical of the variety. The aromas are reminiscent of black fruits such as blueberries, coupled with notes of cocoa and spices. It is smooth on the palate, rounded and well-balanced. (13%)

Satisfying, well-priced white from Campo de Borja which really over delivers. A well-made blend of Chardonnay and Macabeo with gentle toasty oak character that makes it stand out at this price level. Very classy! Good intensity on the nose with tropical fruit and citrus flavours. On the palate, fresh and round, balanced with a good acidity and fresh fruit finish. (12%)


Ontannon Vetiver Rioja Blanco (V+)     £11.55      

Whilst not exactly mainstream, white Rioja is now definitely a 'thing'. With examples like this it's easy to see why. Produced solely from Viura grapes and given 4 months in American oak to mellow, you get just the right balance between ripe tropical fruit and toasty brioche. (13%)

Fresh citrus aromas lead on to a bright and textural palate with peachy fruit and notes of galia melon, a refreshing saline edge and mouth-watering zesty finish. A perfect match for white fish and seafood. (12%)

This fantastic Albarino is a straw yellow in colour with a pronounced peachy nose. Reserva for the price of a Crianza! Made only in the best vintages, this wine is well-balanced with a soft seductive character, typical of the Tempranillo and Graciana varieties and is aged for at least two years in American oak barrels and a further year in bottle before release. Smooth tannins with intense plummy fruits on the nose with flavours of blackberries, mulberries, black cherry, vanilla and spice that lingers on the finish. (14%)

A full-bodied, hedonistic expression of old-vine Garnacha grown at altitude. Intense bouquet of mature red fruits with floral notes, typical of the best Garnacha. The palate is rich and well-structured with masses of bramble and ripe strawberry fruit and warm vanilla and liquorice spice. Tannins are supple but evident and the finish is big, generous, and long. Glorioso Gran Reserva Rioja    £24.75

Bodegas Taron have created this soft and attractive Crianza from a blend of Tempranillo and Mazuelo from their superior vineyards in the Rioja Alta. The wine has been aged in American oak for 12 months, with a further 12 months ageing in bottle. On the palate, subtle oak and smoked notes combine with a rich earthiness, spices, chocolate, redcurrant and cherry. Ideal with roasts, especially game such as pheasant or pigeon. (13.5%)

A naturally sweet wine made from late harvest muscat grapes. The wine is aged in the traditional solera system for 2 years which makes it a beautiful pale amber colour. The nose is intense with notes of marmalade, orange blossom and dried fruits. The palate is sweet and well balanced with a fresh acidity and notes of floral flavours, orange, golden syrup and treacle. (15%)


Manzanilla Sherry, La Gitana (V+)     **BONE DRY**    £12.95

Pale, straw yellow in colour. Decidedly tangy, yeasty and salty nose. Lighter, crisper and more crackly than its older sibling - Fino. The palate lures you in with soft apple and citrus flavours, then attacks with a savoury nutty tang, and finishes with a salty reminder of the fresh spray of the sea. (15%)

Bottled with a natural sparkle, this is a great example of the delicious cidre that Normandy produces. And at just 4.5% ABV it is a great session cidre! If you haven't tried Normandy Cider before then you are in for a real treat. If you have, then you know how great it tastes. (4.5%)




Vineyard Gin, Rude Mechanicals (V+)     £28.70

Every time we serve this at tastings we sell out…it is a really great gin! A botanical compôte of juniper, mandarin flesh, cardamom, peel of clementine, lemon zest & wine. This is a gin that tastes like a gin… just a really good one. Serve simply neat with a cube of ice.  Alternatively, enjoy a generous measure with your favourite tonic. Serve over plenty of ice with a clutch of gently squeezed black grapes and a fresh basil leaf. (41% abv)

Old Salt Rum (V+)     £27.60   

The first rum ever distilled and distributed here in the UK. Triple distilled and oak aged, every drop is smooth and perfectly sippable. Don’t be fooled by the name, it doesn’t contain any salt. Dark, treacly molasses on the nose, along with juicy raisins. On the palate: a deep yet smooth sip, rammed full of cracked caramel and Christmas cake flavours, with a hint of banoffee pie. All rounded off with a light touch of oak, with gently warming treacle notes lingering long after the sip. We generally prefer Old Salt Rum neat or served with ice. It can also be complemented with ginger beer, ice, and a squeeze of lime, for a truly refreshing sip. Or if you’re feeling extra indulgent, mix up a Maple Old Fashioned, using 50ml of Old Salt Rum with10ml of maple syrup and a dash of Angostura bitters, and stir with ice. Strain into a lowball glass with ice and garnish of orange peel. (42% abv)


Vigneron Rum, Rude Mechanicals (V+)     £28.99

A deep, amber-gold in appearance, with a heady nose of cocoa powder, allspice & toasted hazelnut. Gently nutty & textural on the palate with multiple layers of flavour including Seville orange marmalade, praline and red apple, Vigneron Rum finishes with length, tight grain and slight tannic grip from its time in demi-muids. This is a sipping rum for sure,so a single cube of ice is all that’s needed to enjoy it to the full. Alternatively, as a base for rum cocktails Vigneron Rum’s naturally drier, textural style is best matched to Marmalade Mojitos or a Rum Old Fashioned. (42% abv)
