Ripe, green apple, pineapple and mango fruit aromas. Fresh, racy acidity. Judicious toast and a nice, lengthy finish. Lightly oaked. Perfect with seafood, poultry in delicate sauce, risottos.  (12.5%)


Alpataco Chardonnay  (V)      £14.70
This lightly oaked Chardonnay is a golden yellow in colour with hints of green. Strong citrus aroma on the nose which also comes through on the palate with notes tropical and stone fruits and a flinty streak. This is a cracker of a wine, not dissimilar to a quality French Burgundy but with a bit more upfront fruit. Delicious!  (13.5%)

Deliciously fruity with notes of blackberry, plum and black cherry. The light oak ageing gives soft and supple tannins and a long, full finish. (13%)

As you would expect, the perfect accompaniment to a great steak! Notes of blackberry, plum and fresh cherries and a hint of dark chocolate. Soft, well integrated tannins come from time spent on oak. (13%)

Soldier's Block Chardonnay  (V+)     £9.25
Crisp, textural and fleshy. An elegant and easy drinking wine. This vibrant Chardonnay exhibits lifted fruit character, bright tangerine fleshiness, textural mouthfeel, a bright palate and a long and foodie finish. The judicious blend of oaked Chardonnay adds palate weight and texture without overwhelming the fruit.  (12.5%)

Phenomenally good Aussie Chardonnay at this entry level price. Refreshingly unoaked, citrus and white peach flavours combine with a zesty fresh acidity and a clean, bright finish.  (12%)

Rag & Bone Riesling     £14.80
A floral nose of jasmine, lime zest, waxed lemons over crushed marble. The palate is bright, taut and citrussy, the note of citrus oils adding to the palate weight. Its crisp but has plenty of body and a long, nervy finish. Excellent chilli prawns, green Thai curry, fish and chicken.  (12%)

Soldier's Block Shiraz  (V+)     £9.25
Soft supple Victorian Shiraz, dangerously moreish by the glass. Bright, aromatic and juicy on the nose with just a touch of naughty bacon fat. True to the varietal, the tiny proportion of Malbec in this blend gives a flowery perfume.  (14%)

The Last Stand Shiraz  (V+)     £9.40
Warm, soft and lusciously lush this is smooth black and sultry with a salty finish. Premium quality fruit and mature vines have produced a wine with great balance, length and fruit intensity. This attractively fruity Shiraz in a cooler-climate style has concentrated mulberry and soft plummy fruit flavours and smooth savoury tannins. Drink with grilled lamb chops, barbecued chicken and spicy sausages.  (14%)

Intense crimson with youthful purple hues. Generous, mouth-filling sweet blackberries, raspberries and plums cover the palate with lashings of spice. Firm but fine tannins and dark chocolatey nuances continue throughout the lengthy palate with a youthful finish. Fabulous quality red – Delicious!  (14.5%)

The Good Luck Club Cabernet Sauvignon     £ 15.99    **NEW**
There is an abundance of blackberry and cassis fruit with a naughtiness of creamy oak that marries on the palate for a bold pastiche of old vine Barossa Cabernet. It's a big glass of juicy theatre. It's lovely with steak tartare and seared tuna, rich meat casseroles and a chunk of crunchy hard cheese. (14.5%)

Delicate aromas of pear, kiwi, apricot and white spice. On the palate stone fruit flavours and white pepper lead on to a gently textured, mineral and citrus finish. Really very versatile, it will pair well with many dishes from Moroccan tagines to lighter south east Asian dishes. (12%)

Brisa Sauvignon Blanc  (V+)     £8.30
Aromas of grapefruit, green apple and pineapple that intermingle with notes of white flowers, jasmine and orange blossom. On the palate, it is fresh and fruity with well-balanced acidity and a pleasant finish. (13%)

Las Condes Chardonnay  (V+)     £8.45    **NEW**
A medium bodied white wine with delicate lemon and stone fruit aromas on the nose. Flavours of peach and apricot, as well as notes of tropical fruits and vanilla come through on the palate. A medium bodied and well balanced wine, with great intensity and a smooth, creamy mouth-feel on the finish. (12.5%)

Las Condes Sauvignon Blanc   (V+)     £8.45    **NEW**
This Sauvignon Blanc is a fruit forward wine, with strong citrus, floral and herbaceous notes such as lemon, grapefruit and elderflower. Made in a dry and crisp style, this wine has an elegant minerality to it, with a refreshing finish on the palate.  (11.5%)

Bright, aromatic and crisply textural. The Myth of Motu Nui is a delightfully aromatic Sauvignon Blanc as rich as the myths that inspire the name. A classy Sauvignon Blanc, with a pungency and aromatic profile redolent of New Zealand’s Marlborough region on the other side of the Pacific Rim.  (12.5%)

Adobe Reserva Organic Chardonnay  (V+, O)     £10.20
Unoaked, sun kissed Chardonnay made from organically grown grapes. A clear, bright pale yellow in colour, with refreshing citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime that intermingle with subtle tropical fruit aromas, especially pineapple. This is a hugely moreish classically varietal organic Chardonnay with great purity. (13.5%)

Adobe Reserva Organic Gewurztraminer  (V+, O)     £10.20
Eminently drinkable Gewürz, a delightful partner with Asian cuisine. The nose is immediately suggestive of jasmine, lychee, and honey notes, over a palate rich with citrus peel, lemongrass, apricot and mandarin orange. Classically varietal Gewürztraminer filled with new world joy. It is excellent paired with sushi, sashimi and ginger to offset the wasabi heat - A Thai fighting delight!  (13.5%)

A delicious spicy and aromatic Organic Viognier. Fresh bright and aromatic with aromas of honeysuckle and jasmine. It has a palate that includes white peach in both skin and texture, with notes of white leaf tea and fresh apricot fruit.  (13.5%)

Intense aromas of red fruits and plums, overlaid with notes of oak. Fruity on the palate with rounded tannins and a delicious acidity, which makes for a long, delightful finish with plenty of mature fruits.  (13%)

Las Condes Cabernet Sauvignon  (V+)     £8.45    **NEW**
This excellent value wine exudes aromas of dark rich fruit and dried peppers. The palate is fruity and warming with notes of blackberries, cassis and chocolate/mocha hints. This is a smooth and rounded medium- to full-bodied wine that would partner roast beef or lamb to perfection. (13%)

A great introduction into Chilean Carmenère. Bright ruby red in colour with ripe red fruited aromas combined with subtle spice and pepper notes. The palate is medium bodied with good structure, silky ripe tannins and a very persistent finish. Perfect on its own or paired with red meat dishes. (13%)

Juicy and fresh Chilean Merlot. Aromas of plums and cherries mixed with peppery spice and a touch of tobacco leaf. The palate is juicy and fresh with soft red fruits and a hint of green pepper. A really easy drinking Merlot.  (13.5%)

Classic varietal Cabernet from Chile's pioneering organic producer. Attractive aromas of blackberry accompanied by spicy notes. The palate is concentrated and smooth with vibrant plum, red fruit and a delicate herbal note. Tannins are ripe and provide welcome grip and structure.  (13.5%)

Adobe Reserva Organic Carmenère  (V+, O)     £10.20
Classically varietal, organic Carmenère that is dark and deeply juicy. Packed with dark pastille fruit, this classic Carmenère is aromatic of star anise, hoy sin and salt beef, over a palate that is dark and textural but always juicy. Hugely generous red that demands a second bottle.  (13.5%)

Adobe Reserva Organic Pinot Noir  (V+, O)     £10.20
Earthily aromatic with a bright wild strawberry appeal. Gentle notes of juniper and black pepper. With a palate reminiscent of red cherries and chocolate. After fermentation is finished, 10% of the blend is aged for 6 months in French oak to give more complexity to the wine. Try with seared tuna, pink lamb and roast veg.  (13.5%)

The nose is full of intense black fruit and blackberry flavours with notes of herbs and spices such as cinnamon and cloves. The palate is rich in fresh red fruit flavours with notes of tobacco and white pepper.  (13.5%)

Classic fruit driven Cab sourced from some of the only organic vineyards in the Maule Valley. Made only in the best vintages, this wine is well-balanced with a soft seductive character, typical of the Tempranillo and Graciana varieties and is aged for at least two years in American oak barrels and a further year in bottle before release. Smooth tannins with intense plummy fruits on the nose with flavours of blackberries, mulberries, black cherry, vanilla and spice that lingers on the finish. (14%)

This wine is a brilliant ruby colour, with russet tones. On the nose, there are aromas of toast and coconut followed by tertiary aromas including leather and a noticeable earthiness. It is rounded with silky tannins and finishes with a persistent and complex aftertaste. (14%)

Manzanilla is a style of Fino sherry originating from the port of Sanlúcar de Barrameda where the close proximity to the sea and the high humidity contribute to a stronger growth of flor. Made from 100% Palomino, this Manzanilla spent 8 years going through the criaderas and solera system under flor. A lovely pale straw colour, this wine has a pronounced nose of almonds with hints of white peach and distinctive aromas of flor. The palate is light and dry with salty, nutty flavours which are perfectly balanced by a restrained citrus acidity and a pleasant bitterness that lingers on the finish. (15%)

100% Palomino, this Fino sherry is a true expression of Jerez de la Frontera. It spent four years in a Solera system under flor which gives it its distinctive character. Pale straw in colour with a typical nose of biological ageing, lemon and almonds. The palate is delicate and dry with notes of salted almonds, white peach and lemon zest. Well balanced and fresh leaving a crisp impression in the mouth. (15%)

Amontillado wines undergo a combination of biological and oxidative ageing, with this wine spending a minimum of eight years ageing in solera system. If you haven't tried Normandy Cider before then you are in for a real treat. If you have, then you know how great it tastes. (4.5%)

Every time we serve this at tastings we sell out…it is a really great gin! A botanical compôte of juniper, mandarin flesh, cardamom, peel of clementine, lemon zest & wine. This is a gin that tastes like a gin… just a really good one. Serve simply neat with a cube of ice.  Alternatively, enjoy a generous measure with your favourite tonic. Serve over plenty of ice with a clutch of gently squeezed black grapes and a fresh basil leaf. (41% abv)

Gold medal winning vodka made simply from East Anglian sugar beet and purified water...making this a super smooth vodka that can be sipped or slipped in a creative cocktail. Luxurious, smooth and creamy, with big notes of vanilla and cream soda. Smooth and creamy enough to drink on its own or perfect in a vodka or espresso Martini. (41% abv)

 

Rum

 

Old Salt Rum (V+)     £27.60    BIN END £24.50

The first rum ever distilled and distributed here in the UK. Triple distilled and oak aged, every drop is smooth and perfectly sippable. Don’t be fooled by the name, it doesn’t contain any salt. Dark, treacly molasses on the nose, along with juicy raisins. On the palate: a deep yet smooth sip, rammed full of cracked caramel and Christmas cake flavours, with a hint of banoffee pie. All rounded off with a light touch of oak, with gently warming treacle notes lingering long after the sip. We generally prefer Old Salt Rum neat or served with ice. It can also be complemented with ginger beer, ice, and a squeeze of lime, for a truly refreshing sip. Or if you’re feeling extra indulgent, mix up a Maple Old Fashioned, using 50ml of Old Salt Rum with10ml of maple syrup and a dash of Angostura bitters, and stir with ice. Strain into a lowball glass with ice and garnish of orange peel. (42% abv)

 

Vigneron Rum, Rude Mechanicals (V+)     £28.99

A deep, amber-gold in appearance, with a heady nose of cocoa powder, allspice & toasted hazelnut. Gently nutty & textural on the palate with multiple layers of flavour including Seville orange marmalade, praline and red apple, Vigneron Rum finishes with length, tight grain and slight tannic grip from its time in demi-muids. This is a sipping rum for sure,so a single cube of ice is all that’s needed to enjoy it to the full. Alternatively, as a base for rum cocktails Vigneron Rum’s naturally drier, textural style is best matched to Marmalade Mojitos or a Rum Old Fashioned. (42% abv)
